Social Dimension of Education Ed9: Immersion

                                 Family is the most important in the world quote by Princess Diana. We assigned in different family. Acosta family was assigned to us. We visited them at the Block 29 Sitio Lambak Floodway. Mr. Cesar Acosta is the head of the family. At the age of 39 yrs old he have 3 children. He worked us delivery man. Her wife is Mrs. Rowena Acosta the in-charge to taking care of their children and also the house hold choirs. Mrs. Rowena children are Mary Grace 9 yrs old, John Carmelo 7 yrs old Cesar jr 4yrs old. All children are studying at the San Juan Elementary School Floodway. Even its hard for them they tried to send all their kids to school because they do believe that education was the only can give to them.

                 Last May 23 we gathered the gift giving program. It was held at the URSTaytay campus covered court. It was very happy event. It has a short program but it was unforgettable for us. To be part of it  was our priveldge us a future educator .The program started 9 o'clock in the morning even we rattled to arrange the venue still the event finished and goes with the flaw. Its has a lot of games and the kids are happy and very active to participate the program.after that we gave food. At the end of the program we give a simple gift to every kids. Though it simple we know that they appreciate of them. The program finish around 12 noon. After this event I learned that you can help people even its a simple way and its our duty to help the others who are not capable in life. Either its big or small you must help the people who needed you. Share your blessing to others and I believe its better to give than to receive.

Strength and Weakness as a Learner

The individual student have differences personality, difference strength and weakness. Sometimes your strength become your weakness and suddenly your weakness is your strength in your life. As individual we have ability to fight our weakness. We can stand to our own strength and sometimes we can lose because of our weakness. We must know how to balance our strength and weakness

As a student, the greatest strength I have is God. The faith for him is immeasurable. I know he always listen to me, every time I’m in trouble and I know God have plan for me like he said in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you declared the lord , Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, Plans to give you hope and a future”.  Every time I remember this my strength become stronger. Another strength I have is the one who’s believe my ability, the one who did not give up to me, the one who always there for me, the one who encourage me to back in school and giving her 100% support to me that’s my very generous sister. My friends is also my strength. The advice, companion, happiness time, even sad times that’s we shared. As a learner the strength that I have was I’m capable to communicate to the other student. I’m ready to learned more and have open minded in others idea regarding in my learning and I have strength to do my assignment on my own.

As a student the weakness that I have is common to others. It’s because of my study hobbits like laziness and lack of interest to my studies. I know to myself that I did not give enough time to study. I am the person doing project in last minute time because I believe that you can have the idea in last minute.  But my teachers told me that if I give enough time to whatever it is, it’s more effective and creative because you give your best effort not because you just finished it. As a learner my weakness is I don’t have enough self-confidence. Like in recitation even though I know the answer I did not allow myself to recite it and I’m praying always Lord please do not allow my teacher to call me. Sometimes I’m very nervous to stand in front because I don’t have any strength to face my classmate. I know that u need to overcome that weakness because in the reality I need to face all the people in future.
